Should you wish to cancel your booking with us after your payment has been received and banked, please contact us as soon as possible.Cancellations with at least 60 days notice will be refunded in full. Cancellations made after this time, we will then make every effort to re-let the gite for the period of your booking and repay a percentage to you. However, if re-letting is unsuccessful any monies paid cannot be refunded.

We advise that you take out travel insurance against the possibility of having to cancel your holiday. In addition, under French law, the client is responsible for the property contents for the duration of the holiday including accidental damage, loss, expense or inconvenience which the client or any member of his/her party may suffer arising from or in connection with the holiday or resulting from any other cause whatsoever. We strongly recommend that clients ensure that their personal insurance covers them for this.

Guests should try not to arrive any earlier than 4pm (usually on a Saturday). If transport arrangements are such that your time of arrival is earlier than this, please contact us with details well in advance, as it might be possible to allow entry prior to this time or at least allow for a luggage drop off. If travel arrangements mean that your arrival will be after 7pm, please advise us as soon as you can.

Guests must vacate the gite no later than 10am on their day of departure to enable us to prepare the accommodation for the next arrivals. Please remove all used bedding, leave it in the room ready for laundry. Although we undertake a deep clean after each stay, we respectfully request that the gite is left in a clean and tidy state when vacating your holiday home.

On or shortly after arrival, we will come to the house to show you around, explain how things work and answer any questions you may have. If you find that any of the appliances are not in working order, you should inform us on the first day of your stay (all appliances will have been checked prior to your arrival). Damages in excess of the value of the Damage deposit  must be paid for and reclaimed via client personal insurance.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome, but are expected to clean up after their owners! We ask that owners respect our furniture and protect bedding and soft furnishings. We want your pets to enjoy their stay too and enjoy the freedom of their holiday gite as a home from home, but if there is significant damage or deep cleaning required, replacement items will be charged for and deducted from the security deposit (see above, ‘Security Cheque’). ‘Scooping’ bags are freely available for use and used bags should be tightly closed, and placed in the bin provided in your garden.

Pets are required to be in receipt of current flea and tic treatment. A charge of £30.00 will be made if you are unable to provide confirmation. This is to cover the cost of Tarquis Habitiation flea and tic treatment used in the gite after your departure.

We have a large dog crate which is available free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
